The Corrs Club

Like a few here, I'm scratching my furry head trying to make some sense out of this

Whilst one side of me is very happy for the Filipino fanbase; I'm struggling to see the economic sense in it.

1. She has chosen to go it alone w/o label backing therefore it's all on her account to promote & publicise .... not a field for which she has demonstrated any real aptitude or energy in the past. She WILL need to get into the mass media .... and who is going to open those doors in a non-local market
2. Whilst the Corrs went over big-time in the PI, her profile as a solo artist is far, far less & it would be a big gamble on the part of a local promoter to take her on, especially in these economic times when most in this field have became distinctly risk-averse & prefer to invest on established names where they're far more likely to recoup their outlays.
3. The Corrs WERE able to fill the Araneta Colliseum (a 16,500 capacity arena) but nothing I've seen of Andrea or her band so far convinces me that she is anything near an 'arena act'. Sharon isn't, for that matter, although I suspect her & her first-choice band may be more convincing in that regard. I'm assuming the Cebu Waterfront is referring to the Cebu Waterfront Hotel Casino which has staged major shows/title fights - again bigger than what she's played in the past.
4. The communications issue - I feel others have expressed their concerns most eloquently.

If these reports are indeed legit, then one can only hope these shows are successful. The promoter IS staking a lot on the Corrs name/legacy which is something Andrea has seemingly tried to distance herself from artistically. With TFH & Lifelines NOT being released in the Phils, one suspects the bulk of the intended audience may have expectations of something different to what Andrea may wish to present.
