There were a lot of "co-writes" on TOC. INLYA & DSYLM were co-writes with Carole Bayer Sager. OWIS, QOH, Love Give Love Takes had "multiple parents" including Oliver Leiber, Glen Ballard, John Shanks.
With regards to their own efforts, it may well be that with Andrea's co-writes; it was Jim & Caro (who had more advanced formal musical education) who provided the musical side to her lyrics. Could well be wrong ....
