Personally, I'm very happy for you to do it Wendy.

I read an interview with Elliot Randall, who does a lot of session work. He said he rarely travels to studios now, but records at home and sends his work to the client, wherever in the world they are, for processing / mixing etc. I'm really interested to see how well we can do this. So many doors could open for fun collaborations!

My recording and mixing is all done on hardware - I like physical faders etc, though it is mostly digital now. I do use software for some final eq / mastering.

I suppose if the component files were in a freely accessible place, anyone else who wants to have a go at mixing etc could have a shot at it, and of course the final product will be available for all. I don't have a lot of spare time at present.

My city has a music project based in the Guildhall, that runs a local music history resource, and also a community recording studio, that we are all entitled to book. I haven't used it, as I have a lot of kit at home. I think the concept of community resources is great.

This project all sounds fun though. Who will organise the gigs on the word tour?
