that they wanted to play both large and small venues. Small venues need less promotion since they are, well, small, so less tickets are available. RAH isn't exactly small, but it's not arena sized either, so I guess it probably counts as a smaller venue..
Obviously there is history with RAH, and perhaps a TOC / RAH 20 years thing going on too.

So... I wonder if the RAH is seen by them as a combination of fan service, and warm up (as well as revenue generator) more than album promotion.
