possibly the analogue tape doesn't marry too well to the compressed digital format of a CD but it might well suit the vinyl record better. I'm only getting the CD at the moment, but if it transpires that the vinyl is indeed much better then I'll just have to go out and buy a turntable... threw my old one out about 30 years ago.
