In the verses there are long held notes, plus a rhythm guitar playing arpeggios. Terry, what do you think? We could also try to do some or all of this on synth.
Know what would really be cool, but probably too ambitious for us to pull off? I bet Long Night would sound great done with a lot of massed vocals, similar to Imogen Heap or Enya. Instead of using keyboards, the underlying chords could be done using layered voices. That would be a ton of work, because we'd need to record a huge number of vocals tracks, but I bet it would sound amazing.
