I had to unfollow him on twitter ages ago because his tweets were stressing me out! I was always a bigger fan of the girls anyway.
My issue with his posts (and the posts of those with similar views to him) is that they're very inflammatory, very 'us and them'. The "I know something you don't know!" smugness. Posts that try to make you feel incensed rather than provide helpful information.
Yes - we need to ensure vaccines are safe - and yes, there are people who abuse their power, so we need to be educated and alert.
But I find it very hard to believe that every country around the world has been working together to remove our freedoms and take our money.
As for lockdowns...they seemed to have worked pretty well in my state in Australia at least. Community transmission is under control so we can go out and socialise pretty much as normal. The main difference is that there is now hand sanitiser at the front of every business, and we have to provide contact information for contact tracing.
Some extended family in the UK got Covid and one of them died. It sounded pretty awful.
