Wendy, I'm sure you're right about the location being a beach -- that makes way more sense. I don't know where the photoshoot took place, but there are certainly more beaches in or near Ireland than there are deserts.
Re: the BH "wet" photoshoot: this comment you made is perfect: "They look like an electro-pop band from Finland, competing in Eurovision." I can totally see that!

I know I've seen a longer clip, but I can't remember where I saw it. This video also shows them during the wet photoshoot. There were definitely some odd photoshoots during this era.
