Putting together the pieces... the youtube video says the event was called "Launch NY 2000". In Blue was released in 2000. Atlantic Records is or was a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Seems like the most plausible solution is that this was a party and show put on by the record company to celebrate the release of In Blue?
