-White Light: Andrea wrote the lyrics after watching the Amy Winehouse documentary.

"Andrea: I went to see the Amy documentary which obviously had a big effect. It struck me when Tony Bennett said: 'You've got to live long enough to learn how to live.'

- Give Me A Reason: Andrea wrote the lyrics. Jim wrote the music and Sharon wrote the violin part.

Jim: "I took a little house in Glendalough to work on some stuff on my own and that was one of the first songs I did. Andrea liked it and came up with the lyrics. I was thinking of Simon and Garfunkel meets William Orbit and it's got a strongly melancholic thread running through it."

-Borrowed Heaven: Andrea wrote the melody and lyrics.

‘Even If’ is considerably more cheerful, about “the elation of being in love”, while the album’s title track is particularly close to Andrea’s heart. “Everybody’s waiting for the next life but my belief is we all have the possibility of heaven within us,” she says. The track also features South Africa’s Ladysmith Black Mambazo, with whom the Corrs sang at Nelson Mandela’s 46664 aids charity concert in Cape Town last year at his request. The band are a particular favourite of President Mandela’s, performing for him no less than four times in the last year.

-Queen of Hollywood: In an interview with Trevor McShane Sharon says that Andrea wrote Queen of Hollywood. According to the website of Dane Deviller, Dane wrote the music with Glen Ballard. The track then sat for a time until Glen Ballard played the track for Andrea and she wrote the lyrics to go with it.

The lyrics were inspired by a documentary about prostitution and drugs in New York (Sex, Drugs and Fiddly Diddly Dee).
Andrea: "It's really the tale of a girl pursuing a dream, and what it looks like on the outside and what actually is happening to her is not quite the same picture. Just kind of a tragic tale of someone pursuing a dream, and it doesn't work out, but she feels there's something different about her. It's kind of a tragic song."

Forgiven Not Forgotten: The lyrics for Forgiven, Not Forgotten were written by Andrea.

Jackson: "Was Andrea ever involved with a man who committed suicide, an act that then left the narrator of the song contemplating the same fate - which is, as she once admitted, the subtext of Forgiven Not Forgotten? And if that really is the subject of the song, why didn't she make it a little more obvious?"
Andrea: "Because I'd rather have those undercurrents in a song," she says. "To state it blatantly is far less interesting, as far as I'm concerned. And it could be dangerous. I think Romeo And Juliet is a beautiful story but I don't want anyone to think that suicide is romantic. It's not. It's horrendous. But tragic fantasies are romantic. Yet, no it's not about an ex-boyfriend and I never seriously contemplated committing suicide. Of course I have thought about suicide but I immediately go 'how can anyone do that to their family?' It's so selfish, to leave them there, questioning, trying to work out what went wrong. But then you have to be in a not-right frame of mind to commit suicide because everything in your body is telling you to live. Yet even though I love life too much to actually do it, I'm drawn to exploring the subject of suicide, the fact of our own mortality. Then again, there are times when I'd stand at the top of a building, look out a window and say, 'Hey Andrea, you could just step out there and end it all'. And I have to look deep into that feeling. It's like riding a roller coaster."

-SOS: Andrea Corr wrote this song after feeling guilty over the ongoing crisis in Syria.

" Andrea: I suppose it's a mother's guilt about doing nothing, seeing these horrific images and having that guilt, with your own perfect children beside you. That is the perspective it's from. I'm not saying I have the answer, I'm not pontificating, that's just what it is. It's self-loathing, in a way."
