But just the mention of it brings back some vague memories of my having stumbled upon seeing The Corrs for the very first time on that show. I'm no fan of Rosie O'Donnell, but my wife used to watch the show the she when she was home from work. It aired in the morning as I was getting ready for work, and I recall stopping dead in my path when I heard The Corrs for the first time.
It was my intention to investigate their recordings and perhaps buy whatever CDs they had out at the time - but as often happens, real life gets in the way, and I totally put them out of my mind.
It wouldn't be until near the holidays at the end of the year 1999 when a conversation with my brother-in-law had him ask me if I had anything by The Corrs in my collection. I admitted that I didn't, but being reminded of my first impression of them on that TV show, I soon sought out a CD. On an early dismissal from work on New Years Eve, 1999, I stopped by a record store on the way home and picked up a copy of TALK ON CORNERS, the US Edition. And that began my obsession with the group.
