Steve mentioned seeing Sharon on The Same Sun tour in the US. Like (the other) Steve, I have also never seen the full band play, but I did see Sharon in Philadelphia in 2014 on the same tour. She played a small theater that had, I would guess, 300 seats. I think tickets were $28 USD (about $24 euros). I remember wondering whether she could even turn a profit charging such a price in a small venue, so far from home, with a 5-piece band. But clearly it was a labor of love.
The show was fantastic. I didn't fully appreciate how good a singer and performer Sharon is until I saw her live. She has a strength and command of the stage that videos do not adequately capture. Being in the US, I may never get to see the full band play live, but I'm grateful I at least got to see Sharon.
