Hey all, the latest episode is now out and I had the great pleasure of being joined by legendary songwriter Billy Steinberg, co-writer of The Corrs’ Talk on Corners track “Intimacy.”
Billy shares how he found his calling as a songwriter, from his early days writing for Linda Ronstadt and Pat Benatar, to penning global hits like Madonna’s Like a Virgin, Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors, and Heart’s Alone.
He reveals the fascinating backstory of “Intimacy” which was originally written for Pat Benatar and how it found its way to The Corrs through David and James Foster plus what it was like recording with the band in L.A. He also opens up about the lyrical changes made to the song, his friendships with Andrea, Sharon, and Caroline, and even a rare unreleased Corrs track, “In Love So Deep.”
