Here's a girl I've been wanting to mention here for a while now. Paige DeChausse is a fantastic, immensely-soulful singer that actually hails from my little hometown. She competed on American Idol early last year and you can see her successful audition on youtube. Although she didn't win, she's been playing out a lot, being supported musically by area bands, such as Chicago Blues Angels, JP and the Cats, and with another hometown musician (and multi-instrumentalist), Tony Kidonakis. Paige has also just formed her own band, but I don't know if an official name for it has been decided, yet. A couple of months back, I went to see Paige play in town three times in a matter of a couple of weeks and recorded video and audio of all the shows. I've hooked her up with two of the performances on DVD already, but the other is still in the works. Last month, she played for Sturgis Bike Week in Deadwood, SD and got to perform onstage with Bret Michaels (Poison) and some members from the band Tesla. Photo here:
