Being a Mahalo.com video instructor and the lack of her normal bands has reduced my chances of seeing Jen Trani in action.
Fortunately I became aware she was filling in on guitar for a local band whose name isn't quite ready for this board. Actually the band has been around a long time but hasn't garnered much attention. The only reason I knew of the band was Jen's friend Alexa would from time to time fill in at various shows. Jen's done a few shows now and I had a chance to see her in the band with Alexa on drums and a friend of theirs Barry Wayne on bass. He does photography and I think both of them served as models for him. Back to the story. I think Jen is mostly just jamming and filling in since she's pretty new to the band, but she has a great tone I think. People kept walking in front and I just had to do my best. The leader of the band (lead singer with red hair) sounds really happy with the band. I think it's because she's gotten the best musicians she's ever had as a unit right now.
