I love her first album, and all the music videos from that album. I was thrilled to get to see her live at the Subterranean in Chicago back in Oct. 2009. Even got to hear her do her cover of Phil Collins' classic "In The Air Tonight".
I think her latest CD is really good, too, but I don't care at all for the overuse of the nasty distortion effect on the drums and such throughout the album. For me, it just sounds grating on the ears and like my speakers are failing. I think it would've sounded much better if they would've used the effect only minimally, or not at all.
I remember when she posted this Joni Mitchell cover on her youtube channel, in early 2010, and thought it was excellent. Under the video in the description, she wrote, "This is a cover of "Circle Game" by Joni Mitchell. It's late and I can't sleep, and this song keeps playing in my head. I figure it just wants out so I'll let it out, maybe then she'll let me sleep."
