I've been trying to find out more information about Karmina. Somebody mentioned they used to play along the Venice (Beach) boardwalk. I think a few things out of their hands worked against them. Their CD that originally came out on CBS in around 2008 got several songs placed on various tv shows. I recently tracked down a promo copy of that CD since I couldn't find a regular commercial version. Problem with the promo is the disc is an CD-R and there are is no booklet. I'm sure it's not a copy since the CD-R has the full artwork on a blue disc. I have a pre-release EP which is a similar color CD-R with similar artwork.
They just played (without announcing) as support for some act called Celtic Thunder at the Nokia in Los Angeles. The next date is at some dumpy bar called Trip which is hardly a good place to hear them, but close to where they live. I never saw the tv show, but they did a theme for a quickly cancelled show called "The Ex List." The video some fan (I presume) did is just the music with the CD cover.
The girls sound great live. Their harmonies are spot on.
