Many moons ago I started to try and set up a very high quality audio system. At the time I obtained a Scottish turntable called a Linn Sondek which was put out by Linn Products from Glasgow. They started to put out high quality recordings to highlight their audio products and the Blue Nile were one of their first, if not their first release. I didn't buy the records because they were kind of expensive, but the audio place I went to did have the records (way back then) to demonstrate audio equipment. Very nice recordings indeed. The band as far as I know have had a reputation for quality as long as they have been around.
