This is an excerpt from a piece called "The Animals' Christmas", performed by Amy Grant and Art Garfunkel with orchestra and choir. The piece is a Christmas cantata that tells the story of the Nativity from the point of view of the animals that were present. It was written by Jimmy Webb, a noted songwriter probably best known for hits such as "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" and "MacArthur Park" (he's the conductor in the video).

The video is from a 1986 Amy Grant Christmas special. There are actually several songs here, each segueing into the next (the songs start around 0:45, 1:27, and 4:20).

I love this piece, particularly the third song starting at 4:20. I'm not usually a fan of choral music (or of Christmas music, to be honest), but I find the vocal and orchestral writing from 4:31 to 6:20 to be just exhilarating.

I don't believe this piece is very well known. I bought the vinyl LP when it came out in 1986; I doubt many other people bought it unless they were Amy Grant collectors or Art Garfunkel collectors (I fell into the first category).
