Do You Hear What I Hear?
I only recently found out the background of this song. It was written during the Cuban Missile Crisis in October 1962 when nuclear war threatened. The key line of the song is "Pray for peace, people everywhere." A very pretty song emerging from a time of great fear.
Many artists have performed this piece. Too many of them try to "make it their own" and I don't like the results. I do like this performance by two former members of Celtic Woman...
