I used to keep up more with the French singers (females primarily), but there is so much stuff out there with American indies it's just about a full-time (and unpaid) job to keep up with that. Not that many Americans I don't think keep up with the French singers since so many of them sing in another language, but there are definitely some very good ones. The musicianship is often of a high level although I've noticed there seem to be a number of Italian musicians used too. Lastly, I believe Steverino originally brought up Nolwenn some time back. I think it was Steverino and if I'm wrong somebody please correct my error.
