I don't have Nolwenn's live Histoires Naturelles Tour DVD either. About half of it is on youtube (including the performance of Melusine that I chose for the OT Board). From what I've seen, it's not bad, but somehow I don't feel the video illuminates the music as well as some of the best concert videos I've seen. I don't know why -- perhaps there are too many tight close-ups and quick cuts, and I never felt like I got a good feel for the layout of the musicians on stage. (The gold standard for a great concert video, IMO, is the Talking Heads' Stop Making Sense.)
I don't have the physical CD, but I did buy the digital album from amazon when they had it on sale for $9.99 for 20 tracks. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I really like this album. A lot of the songs sound pretty similar, as they are all mid-tempo and have similar arrangements and have unintelligible (to me) lyrics. But I like almost all of the songs, so that's fine with me.
There are only a couple of songs I didn't like:
1) the bluesy "A Song for You", in which Nolwenn apparently tries to channel Billie Holiday -- this just doesn't work for me.
2) the cover version of Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill. Nolwenn's performance is fine, but I just never liked this song to begin with, even though I like Kate Bush in general.
I like the cover version of Time After Time, although I would have preferred more of Nolwenn singing and less of the other two guys.
P.S. Interesting medical studies about the therapeutic effects of Nolwenn's music! I wonder what other music they used (the article mentions Mozart and others but doesn't specify what the others were).
