We do have a few fans of the Beatles here, so I thought that I would share about this...
On Monday 18 June 2012 (the day of Paul McCartney's 70th birthday), Danish artist Tim Christensen (http://timchristensen.wordpress.com/) and his band The Damn Crystals along with American musicians Mike Viola (mikeviola.com) and Tracy Bonham (tracybonham.com/) got together at the Vega in Copenhagen, Denmark to perform a concert of solo, post-Beatles McCartney music. During the concert, they performed the entire RAM album (from 1971) along with several other favourite songs from the solo McCartney catalog, including "Band On the Run", "Live and Let Die" and "Maybe I'm Amazed."
RAM is not only Tim Christenen's favourite McCartney album, but it is his favourite solo album of all the Beatles. He first heard it as a ten-year-old kid. Though it is not loaded with hit songs, it seems to be a favourite of musicians because Paul was very inspired when writing it, fresh from the breakup of the Beatles.
This month, they released Pure McCartney in both vinyl/DVD and CD/DVD formats. I ordered it and my parcel from "København" arrived on Friday. I watched the concert and thought it was outstanding. You can tell how much they appreciate this music and they're very talented. It was filmed with four cameras and the sound quality is excellent.

Tim Christensen and Mike Viola have been friends for seven years and came up with the idea of this concert back in 2009. Here they talk about the project:
This could be a release that you'll be glad to have - I'm glad I have it in my collection. It was good for me because I'm also a fan of Tim Christensen.
