Steverino, like you I'm definitely more of a music and sound person, rather than a lyrics person. My wife, who has an interest in poetry, will sometimes ask me what some song is about that I'm listening to. My answer is invariably that I have no idea.

Have you heard music in Hebrew? Here is a piece by my favorite composer (and my first AOTM suggestion), Steve Reich:

This piece is a setting of Biblical psalms. The melody is first stated by the soprano (1:38-2:53). At 2:53, a second soprano comes in, singing the same melody but out of phase (as in a round, the way kids might sing "Row Row Row Your Boat"). This phasing technique, which is key in much of Reich's music, is used throughout the piece. I have no idea what the vocalists are singing (and TBH, don't really care), but it certainly sounds cool to my ears.

Thanks for the Nolwenn translations. I've tried running some of her lyrics through google's automatic translator, and although that's usually enough to give you a vague idea of what the song is about, it doesn't really work very well. Is '14 Février' about Valentine's Day? (Is that even celebrated in France or anywhere outside the US?) I couldn't tell if that's about the day of a breakup (and the 2/14 date is just a coincidence), or if it's actually about Valentine's Day.
