I'd purchased my ticket for the show quite some time ago and had been looking so forward to seeing it. I really enjoyed the new tunes she played from her much-anticipated, and soon-to-be-released, sophomore album. My pal, Iliff, was watching, too, and captured it for us both.
Diane's debut album, Bible Belt, is just superb. I've heard studio versions of a couple of the new tunes and they seem to have a different vibe from the debut, but still quite good. I'm looking forward to her tour in support of the album...haven't seen her live since May 2010. Chelsea Williams was actually the one who'd turned him and I on to Diane in 2009.
Btw, Gary, don't know if you're fan of Marie Digby's music or not but she had a stageit show immediately after Diane's. I watched that one, too, and also captured it.
I really enjoy the Cherry Bluestorms. Thank you for having turned me on to them. I look forward to hearing about the show, and maybe seeing some video. I'll be seeing Megan Slankard this coming Thurs....it's been WAY too long!
