Sheryl Crow is a big name artist in the U.S., especially in the late 1990's and early 2000's. I liked her radio singles and she came to my attention through "All I Wanna Do" which was refreshingly different, especially at that time. It bore a resemblance in my mind to a 70's song by Stealer's Wheel called "Stuck In the Middle" . "My Favorite Mistake" remains one of my favorites. Sheryl Crow has worked with some great musicians in the making of her albums. I have her greatest hits CD.
Credited as assistant producer for Sheryl Crow's second album, the self-titled Sheryl Crow, is Mitchell Froom, one of my favorite producers. Froom, I understand, is producing Sharon's 2nd solo album and played a role on past Corrs albums, including In Blue, MTV Unplugged, VH1 Live in Dublin, and Home. He's done some great work on other albums that I own such as On a Clear Night by Missy Higgins* and Light Up by female Dutch musician Stevie Ann**. He's produced for a lot of well-known artists like Paul McCartney, The Bangles, Crowded House, Robin Gibb, Randy Newman, Bonnie Raitt, and Suzanne Vega (his ex-wife).
