I wouldn't have thought of that comparison, but now that you mention it, I can totally hear the resemblance.
My first reaction when I heard Stuck in the Middle (years ago) was that singer sounds just like John Lennon. The song sounds nothing like a Lennon or Beatles song, but the vocals sound like John's voice, at least to me.
Speaking of the Beatles, I didn't know Mitchell Froom had worked with Paul McCartney (or with Sheryl Crow). I did know that he worked with Suzanne Vega, whose music I'm quite fond of. I think he will prove to be a good choice for Sharon's new album.
