Hopefully, being so close, you will get other opportunities to see Mary Fahl live. 17-Sep-2013 04:55:35

When you're not so swamped, let's hope. I imaging that it would be great to hear her live.
Naomi Watts, ey?
It just might work!
I'm very big fan of Cara. She has a new album A Thousand Hearts coming out soon, her first since late 2008. She'll be touring with the new record - it's just a little too far away for me!
She's had he hands full these past several years!
Besides raising twin boys and a baby girl, she has been busy starting her own record company with her husband Sam and also singing for Disney.
Here's a little-played YouTube that I discovered of Cara performing "There Were Roses," a song written by Tommy Sands about the troubles in the North. Cara's native town of Dungiven has not been spared the troubles, so she can sing this from her own experiences.
The volume needs to be turned up a bit on that video.
I feel so fortunate that I got to see her perform on four different occasions in 2008 when she visited California, and I had a chance to meet her and she has such a sweet personality. If you ever want to see her perform, she did release two DVDs.
My favorite of the two is The Redcastle Sessions (http://www.amazon.com/Cara-Dillon-The-Redcastle-Sessions/dp/B0018MI4J8/) filmed at a home on the shores of beautiful Lough Foyle. (By the way, the Amazon entry says it's a Region 2, but it's NOT! - it's an all-regions DVD. This has probably cost her a lot of sales.
