I learned of her from the Transatlantic Sessions. I can't say that I know her music well. I've observed that not all here appreciate country vocals. I guess her style is not for everyone. However, I think she has a very potent way of delivering a tune, and she's a fantastic songwriter as evidenced in these performances that I have on the Transatlantic Sessions DVD:
"Our Town" (Transatlantic Sessions)
"Sweet is the Melody" (Transatlantic Sessions)
The Transatlantic Sessions, which brings together traditional/folk musicians from both sides of the Atlantic is a remarkable musical series. I still love to watch Big Bug Shuffle and This Love Will Carry from Season 1, which I believe was way back in 1994. I also enjoy this The Swan LK 243 by Catriona McKay.
