It's getting lonely here, yet nevertheless I will venture to expand on my post on Tori Holub 06-Apr-2024 07:19:45

Tori Holub and Jim Wilkas also made this video of the Bacharach-David Medley that appears the Carpenters' self-titled album:
I watched a recent interview of Tori on YouTube. She says that during the COVID madness she started posting shorts at TikTok of '60s and '70s music. She is a student of music production and multi-tracking vocals. When asked about her affinity with the music of that time, she describes herself as a person who has always found value in old things. She doesn't have a lot of full videos, but a number shorts that tell more of the story of her vocals. I will try to embed some of these shorts below (and hopefully it works).
A Song for You (Leon Russell)
I Need to Be in Love (Richard Carpenter; John Bettis; Albert Hammond)
Ticket to Ride (John Lennon; Paul McCartney)
Goodbye to Love (John Bettis; Richard Carpenter)
Top of the World (John Bettis; Richard Carpenter)
Only Yesterday (Richard Carpenter; John Bettis)
I was quite impressed with this video of the Olivia Newton John song written by John Farrar, "Have You Never Been Mellow" - she sounds quite a lot like Olivia, like how she sings the word "frown" in this short:
She has a short of another great singer of that '70s era, Linda Ronstadt. To me, she doesn't sound so much like Linda, but she does sing it well:
"Long Long Time" (Gary White)
She has a few releases out, digital only at this point, some covers and some original songs. If you got this far, thanks for reading!
