Giving Tori Holub her own topic here... 25-Apr-2024 06:25:09

I thought it might be preferable to start a new topic for Tori, since my post of her "We've Only Just Begun" cover video is in a different thread below (see http://www.thecorrsclub.com/cc/display.php?mbnum=2&msgnum=1131352490). I am impressed with Tori's vocals, not just with the Karen Carpenter covers but with other music as well: I might call it "anachronistic, but in a good way." It transports me back to a different era of popular music, one for which I have a fondness because I grew up in it.
Tori recently posted this video of her (believe it or not) first-ever performance before a large audience. In the video description, she writes: "This was my first time performing in front of an audience since I was a kid, but when Jim Caruso told me “Cast Party” was coming to town, I knew I had to do it. Needless to say, it wasn’t perfect, but it’s a start!"
Tori Holub gave this interview, the only one that I have found, that provides a little more information about her background and her future plans in music - already there seem to be projects in the works, some still secret:
Below is an original song that she has posted. The song is available for purchase at streaming sites. She write “Something to Believe In” was brought to me by the incredible Richard Kraft and produced by the lovely Jimena Caballero, who worked to arrange and produce the song with my style in mind. We put so much love into making this song, and we hope you all enjoy it!
Turning the clock even farther backwards in her covers is this one that covers the Hoagy Carmichael and Stuart Gorrell tune made famous by Ray Charles. This is an original arrangement that Tori Holub worked on with a friend named Chris May:
I'm acting under an assumption that other members are simply busy living their lives and they do not object to my continued posting about this young singer who is moving forward from her initial start as a "Tik-Tok" singer.
