With the assistance of a piano track from Drew Jansen, the pianist who accompanied her performance at the 55th Anniversary Carpenters 1969-2014 celebration in Downey, California, Tori Holub has worked up a studio version of Richard Carpenter's song "Something in Your Eyes," adding her own backing vocals. This video uses photos and bits of video from the live performance in California, from a different video that can be seen HERE)
She introduces this video as follows: This April I had the absolute honor and privilege of performing at Downey United Methodist Church as a part of the "Carpenters 55th Anniversary Acoustic Celebration" concert. Arriving home after all the festivities, I knew I needed to do a more proper recording of "Something in Your Eyes" to commemorate the experience... so here it is! This is my little "thank you" to the committee, my fellow performers, and all that attended the show.
