On that one she has more of the Joni inflections. However, I agree with you about "Both Sides Now" and "River" being less Joni and more Tori. More than likely, she would agree with you, not merely out of modesty but more because, like you, she has much better 'musical ears' than I have.
I noticed today a new interview of Tori Holub by a channel operated by some long-time Todd Rundgren aficionados ahead of the 'What the World Needs Now' Burt Bacharach songs tour this year that features Rundgren. It's a long interview, and I don't expect that you have time to watch it. Nevertheless, I thought I would put it up here for future reference and for the sake of anyone who happens to search for info on Tori and stumble upon our topic here. This interview delves a bit more into the history of Tori's musical journey and her fascination with older music from the '50s to '70s.
