Lifting Me

Information: Lifting Me was used for a Pepsi commercial around 1999. People could collect pull tabs and send them in to receive a copy of the CD which included 2 versions of the song; a regular version and a K-Klass remix. An interactive interview was also included that could be played on the computer.   Lifting Me was performed live once in a live performance in London with other artists sponsored by Pepsi at the time.   The disc included photos of each of the Corrs.   Lifting Me also appeared on the Best of the Corrs CD (Australian Edition - 7567-930752). It was listed on that release as a previously unreleased Bonus Track because the track had never before been available for purchase. The CDs sent out by Pepsi were specifically labeled as 'Not for Resale'.   According to the BMI database, the original version was produced by Boo Hewerdine and Engineered by Rafe McKenna. The re-mix lists additional production by K-klass for Diesel Productions.   Written By: The song was definitely written by the Corrs, but it's not clear if Lifting Me was commissioned by Pepsi for the advertising campaign or simply picked for the advertising campaign because the title matched the phrase used by Pepsi for their TV advertising.   There is no definitive information regarding which Corr wrote the music and lyrics for this song.
