Forgotten album and heard the song over the radio in the car.
(Source: Taratata Interview - from 5:00 minutes onwards)
- Several band members have mentioned Runaway as a favourite
song when asked what their favourite song is, including Andrea when asked about favorite songs to perform live.
- When Sharon was asked about her favorite song in the
Australian "Backstage Pass" promo documentary for Borrowed
Heaven her response was "I think there's that one that stays
with me always, and never left me - I've never begun to hate it.
And that a really good sign, because if you can not hate a song
after playing it for 15 years, it's got to be half-good.
So, Runaway I think."
- From the Q&A on the old Corrs Offical Website when Caroline
asked what song they were most prooud of writing and why she
replied: "Probably Runaway. I think because it was the first ballad
that we ever wrote together. It's a really beautiful song, it's
very romantic, and I'm really proud of that."
- The original video for Runaway was the first 'professional'
video shot for the band. It was shot in August 1995. The Director
was Randee St Nicholas and Producer was Sharon Ullman. Randee is a
US director and flew in specially for Runaway, which was the
first of the band's professional videos to be filmed in Ireland. It
was shot over two days in Dublin, locations including Pearse Street
Station and Phoenix Park. "We still don't know why Andrea was
jumping off the train though..." (Source: 'The Best of the Corrs'
Videos sleeve notes) Other locations include Glendalough Monastery
in Co. Wicklow, Ireland.
- The second video for the re-release of Runaway during
the Talk On Corners era was filmed in the UK and includes the
footage of the band walking down the hallway towards the camera that
is shown just before their opening song in the Lansdowne Road
and Live in London DVDs.
- When Andrea first sang this song in front of her parents, Jean and
Gerry, she had to look away during the phrase "Make love to me
through the night".
- Andrea included Runaway in her setlist while touring for
her solo albums.
Written By:
- Andrea, Caroline, and Sharon wrote the music and lyrics
for Runaway together. (Source - Interview with Sharon and

Lyrics:
Say it's true, there's nothing like me and you
I'm not alone, tell me you feel it too
And I would run away
I would run away, yeah..., yeah
I would run away
I would run away with you
Cause I am falling in love with you
No never I'm never gonna stop
Falling in love with you
Close the door, lay down upon the floor
And by candlelight, make love to me through the night
(through the night, through the night...)
Cause I have run away
I have run away, yeah..., yeah
I have run away, run away
I have run away with you
Cause I am falling in love (falling in love) with you
No never I'm never gonna stop
Falling in love with you...
With you...
And I would runaway
I would runaway, yeah..., yeah
I would runaway (runaway)
I would runaway with you
Cause I am falling in love (falling in love) with you
No never I'm never gonna stop
Falling in love with you...
Falling in love (falling in love) with you
No never I'm never gonna stop falling in love with you
With you, my love, with you...
na ni na ni na na...
(With you, with you, with you, with you)
